The Decorah Viking girls soccer team got a chance to play a lot of soccer on Saturday in Waverly.
The Vikings faced Hudson, Center Point-Urbana and Waterloo Columbus at the Waverly tournament, coming away with a 2-1 record on the day.
Decorah played Waterloo Columbus to a scoreless tie in regulation, then lost 4-3 in the shootout. But the Vikings rebounded in their second game, scoring three goals to take a 3-1 decision against Hudson. Amelia Folkedahl had two of the goals, while Cena Lesmeister scored the other goal. In their last game of the day, the Vikings again played to a scoreless tie in regulation, but this time won the shootout with three goals to Center Point/Urbana's one.
