Last year's Pooch Scooch 5k Fun Run/Walk

EARL Public Transit is announcing plans for its third annual Pooch Scooch 5k Fun Run/Walk.

The event will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28th, at the shelter at Wold Park on Sumner Street in Decorah. Bring your dog and run/walk with them, or, scooch with a pooch that needs a loving home.  A dog is not required.  Everyone is welcome and the course is accessible to all mobility levels.  New this year are a costume contest for humans and canines, as well as bobbing for hot dogs and an ice cream eating contest for the pooches after the run.

EARL Public Transit, a program of Northeast Iowa Community Action, will use proceeds to benefit the transit crisis fund and the Humane Society of Northeast Iowa's emergency medical fund.
