Maddie Putnam qualified for state as an individual bowler at the district meet. Putnam traveled to Waterloo on Monday and bowled in the State Bowling Meet for 1A girls. Putnam had a great day, bowling a 211, and a 188 for a total of 399 pins, earning her seventh place over all.

"Maddie only missed one shot in the state tournament, a "7" pin. I'm very, very proud of Maddie. She figured it out in the district and state tournaments, a nice time to do it. Maddie clearly has turned into the leader of our girls team. I believe in Maddie. She has grown as a person and a lady. I can't say enough about her and am looking forward to coaching her next season," shared coach Keith Bruening.
