On Saturday the Vikings competed at Linn-Mar in the district swimming meet.
In the first event, the 200 yard medley relay team of Gus Grimstad, Noah Faldet, AJ Morrow, and Andrew Heine finished in third place with a time of 1:40.95, setting a new school record and qualifying for the relay team for the state meet.
Noah Faldet won the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 58.31, and placed fourth in the 100 yard fly with a time of 54.54. Faldet will compete on Saturday at the state meet in both events and the 200 yard medley relay.
Cedar Rapids, Washington finished in first place at districts with 383 points, Linn-Mar, Marion was second with 332 points, Muscatine was third with 303 points, Cedar Rapids, Kennedy was fourth with 270 points, Burlington was fifth with 234 points, Decorah was sixth with 189 points, Cedar Rapids, Jefferson was seventh with 106 points, Vinton-Shellsburg was eighth with 81 points, and Keokuk finished in ninth place with 50 points.
