Decorah boys bowling team win their sixth match of the season

It was another big night for the Decorah boys bowling team as they beat Charles City at home on Friday.

Michael Bruening led the Vikings to defeat the second-ranked Charles City Comets with scores of 259 and 223, for a total of 482 pins. Dawson Holkesvik had a 221 and a 201 for a total of 428 pins. Steven Baldridge also had a great night as he bowled a 241 and a 185, for 426 pins total.

The Vikings had five good Baker games as they bowled 224, 222, 236, 174, and 222. Final team scores were Decorah 3,180 and Charles City 2,946.

The Vikings are undefeated at 6-0.

The JV boys bowling team is also undefeated, with a record of 6-0.  Against Charles City they finished with a 2,659.  Tristan Jostand led the Vikings with a total score of 419 pins.  Logan Wales bowled a 416 in his two games.

"Our future looks bright!" Coach Bruening commented on the boys JV team.

Next up the Vikings will face Tripoli Friday night on the road.
