The Decorah Viking boys basketball team used a strong second half Thursday night to defeat South Winneshiek at home.
The two teams were just two points apart at halftime, with Decorah taking a 26-24 lead into the locker room. But the Vikings outscored South Winn 11-7 in the third quarter and 17-13 in the fourth quarter to earn the victory.
Nick Bockman led the Vikings with 17 points, Jerod Redenius added 12 points and Patrick Bockman had 11 points on Thursday night.
Decorah is now 3-5 overall and will return to action Friday night at home against Spring Grove.
