Four seniors will lead the 2017-2018 Decorah Viking girls basketball team.

2016-2017 was a learning time for then-new coach Shannon Quandahl, as the Vikings went 4-19 overall.  However, the Vikings played better in January and February, notching three of their four wins.  And Lindsey McEnaney, Allie Hafner, Maddy McEnaney and Alea Lutkenhaus will return from that team.  Lindsay McEnaney averaged 6.1 points per game last season, while Allie Hafner had a 5 point average.

A number of talented sophomores are also expected to get playing time for the Vikings in 2017-2018.  That will mean the Vikings will be tight-knit and athletic this season.

Crestwood again is expected to lead the NEIC, with Waverly also expected to do well.  Quandahl believes the Vikings can move up in the league standings this season.
