The Decorah High School girl's tennis team finished their regular season Tuesday with a hard fought 6-3 victory over Waverly-Shell Rock. The meet was interrupted by a thunderstorm that forced players indoors.
Logan Thompson and Tori Dahlen recorded total match victories at #1 and #3 singles. Catherine Moeller took a 6-1, 6-2 victory. The other singles matches were very close affairs. Doubles provided great plays but also showed that there is still work to be done.
The girls tennis team will now be off until May 15th when postseason play begins in Decorah, with the Vikings hosting Clear Lake, Osage and Charles City.

1. Logan Thompson won 6-0, 6-0 over Carly Poesch
2. Katrina Shindelar lost 4-6, 5-7 to Morgan Kurt
3. Tori Dahlen won 6-0, 6-0 over Autumn Kampman
4. Kylie Kruse won 6-1, 2-6, 9-7 over Megan Ruebel
5. Erica Bjelland won 7-6, 6-4 over Kayla Butcher
6. Catherine Moeller won 6-1, 6-2 over McKayla Smith
Doubles:
1. Dahlen and Kristen Malanaphy lost 1-6, 3-6 to Poesch and Kurt
2. Thompson and Shindelar won 6-0, 6-0 over Kampman and Butcher
3. Kruse and Emma Breitenstein lost 4-6, 6-1, 7-9 to Ruebel and Smith
