Decorah boys finish 3rd in 3A state golf tourney

The Decorah Boys Golf Team finished their season with a third place team finish on Saturday at the Harvester Golf Club.  Their team score was 650, only three strokes behind the winner Ballard (647) and one stroke behind second place Spencer (649).

"We gave it our best shot at the title," commented Coach Rich Gaard.  "We just didn't finish strong enough to win as Ballard played good enough to win on their home course to win the title for the fourth consecutive time."

Andrew Peter tied for runner-up medalist with Jay Monahan of Spencer with 152.  Andrew was just 2 strokes back from the medalist Devin Leland of Ballard.
