Lack of timely hits leads to Luther doubleheader loss

The Luther College baseball team is now 0-6 in the Iowa Conference after dropping three games to Buena Vista University over the weekend.

Luther lost 13-9 decision to Buena Vista on Friday afternoon.   Luther registered 15 hits but left 14 runners stranded.

On Saturday, Luther lost game one 3-1 and dropped a 11-2 decision in the nightcap. Ryan Bahnemann drove in the lone Luther run in the bottom half of the sixth inning of the first game, but Luther was unable to capitalize further.  Buena Vista tallied 11 runs on 12 hits and scored every inning except two in the nightcap.

The Norse, who are now 10-9 on the seasion, will return to non-conference action at 2:30 p.m. Monday, when they will travel to St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota, for a doubleheader.
