TeKippe
named MVP of Luther women's basketball team |

High School 2004 graduate Ashley TeKippe has been named the
Luther College women’s basketball team's Most Valuable
Player for the 2007-2008 season. In all, TeKippe has
received five team honors, being named the Outstanding
Offensive Player, sharing Most Inspirational Player and Team
Player of the Year honors and winning her fourth letter.
TeKippe earlier was named a first-team All-Iowa Conference
honoree. She led the Norse in scoring, rebounding,
field goal percentage and blocked shots during the 2007-08
campaign. She tallied 352 points, 210 rebounds,
connected on 51.3 percent of her field goal attempts
(123-240) and blocked 68 shots. She also shot 72.1
percent from the free throw line (106-147). She completed
her outstanding career with 691 points, 598 rebounds, 63
steals and a school record 205 blocked shots. Her rebound
total ranks fourth all-time.
TeKippe is the daughter of George and Maureen TeKippe of
Decorah. |
