Girls golf
team shoots best round of the season, but still loses to
Turkey Valley |
The Turkey
Valley girls golf team showed Tuesday why it is one of the
best in Class 1A. The Decorah Viking girls golf team
shot its best round of the season--but still lost by 12
strokes to the Trojans, 186 to 198 at the
Jackson Heights Country Club.
Turkey Valley's Cassie Milbrandt led all golfers with a 45.
Decorah was led by Hailey Spilde and Elizabeth Sherin, who
shot 49s. Rylee Rollins and Annelise Keune were one
stroke behinds with 50s. Kayla Hemesath shot a 53,
while Kelsey Wyckoff had a 62. Turkey Valley's junior
varsity team beat Decorah by four strokes, 237 to 241.
Decorah's Sara Brownrigg shot her best round of the season
with a 55. |
