Viking boys track team finished fifth Monday at the
Northeast Iowa Conference meet at Waukon. Charles City
won the meet with 144.5 points, followed by Waverly-Shell
Rock, New Hampton and Waukon. Decorah had 58 points.
Brett Van Sloten again led the Vikings,
getting first place finishes in the shot put and discus.
Van Sloten had a toss of 52 feet 2.75 inches in the shot put
and threw the discus 160 feet 11 inches. Evan Neubauer
had a third place finish in the 1,600 meter run, while the
Vikings' distance medley team also finished third. |
