 Taylor
Nelson, a 2006 graduate of Decorah High School, has earned
his second letter as a member of the Luther College swimming
and diving team.Nelson
had an outstanding sophomore campaign, qualifying for the
national swimming championships and earning honorable
mention All-American honors in the 200 and 400 medley relays
and the 200 freestyle relay. He also set the school record
for the 50 freestyle (20.94) and was a member of the school
record 200 freestyle relay (1:23.73) and the 400 freestyle
relay (3:07.72). Nelson is the son of Cy and Ramona
Nelson of Decorah.
During the 2007-08 campaign,
the Luther men's swimming and diving team posted a dual meet
record of 7-1, with their only loss to NCAA Division II
Minnesota State-Mankato. Luther was also crowned the
Iowa Conference champions and the Liberal Arts Champions for
a fourth consecutive year. The Norse concluded the
year placing 30th at the NCAA III National Championships. |
