Viking girls tennis team found itself on the short end of a
close dual meet with Waverly-Shell rock on Tuesday, April
29th in Decorah. Five of the
nine matches were decided by tie-breakers, but Decorah could
win only two of them. That meant Waverly finished with
a 6-3 victory.
Emily Johnson had the only singles win
for the Vikings, taking a 6-4, 6-3 victory. Erica
Munkel and Karissa Shindelar won at #1 doubles, while Angela
Kreiger and Katie Johnston played a perfect first set and
then held on to defeat Waverly at #2 doubles. |
