Girls golf team rallies for victory
The Decorah girls golf team trailed Oelwein by seven strokes after both teams had their top four players come in.  But then #5 and #6 golfers Kelsey Wyckoff and Kayla Hemesath both came in with career lows of 51 to give Decorah a two stroke victory on Tuesday, April 22nd.

Each of the top six Decorah girls golfers has had her score count at least once in the first five meets.  On Tuesday Kayla Hemesath and Kelsey Wyckoff were lowest scorers with 51s, followed by Annelise Keune at 52, Hailey Spilde at 53, Elizabeth Sherin at 54 and Rylee Rollins at 58.

Said head coach Scott Pierce afterwards, "Our balance should help us as we approach conference and districts.  Hailey Spilde has been our most consistent player with five scores between 51 and 54."
