Viking boys
golf team beats Charles City |
The Decorah
High School boys golf team defeated Charles City 180 t0 196
in rainy conditions on Friday at the Oneota Golf & Country
Club. Conditions were challenging, with wet greens and
standing water in different areas. Said head coach
Rich Gaard, "I was proud of how our team kept their
composure under extreme wet conditions and difficult putting
on the various greens."
Co-medalists were Andrew Peter and Drew Olinger with 44s.
Dusty Steffen shot a 45; Mike Carey had a 47; Aaron Boutte
shot a 49; and Bryan Lowery had a 50. The Reserve team
also won 199 to 215 over Charles City.
The next meet will be at New Hampton on Monday, April 21st. |
