| The Luther
College baseball team swept a doubleheader from Simpson
College in Indianola on Tuesday. The Norse scored 13
runs on 16 hits, winning game one 6-3 and game 7-2.
In game one, Jake Waddle and Jeff Hiatt were both 2-for-4 as
Cody Hyland allowed one run on three hits in seven innings.
In game two Alex Ross and Jeff Hiatt each had two hits and
Paul Pichelmann went the distance on the mound.
Luther is now 2-3 in the Iowa Conference, 7-6 overall.
The Norse will play Coe College at 3:00 p.m. Friday in Cedar
Rapids in a nine inning game, then will face Coe in a double
header at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5th. |
