High School wrestling squad finished fourth out of six teams
Saturday at the Sectional Meet at Waukon. However, the
Vikings had six second place finishers who qualified for
next Saturday's District Meet at Manchester West Delaware.
The Sectional Runners-Up were Zach
Henning at 119 pounds; Anthony Hable at 130 pounds; Devin
Bruening at 135 pounds; Gayge Samuelson at 140 pounds, Chase
Christopher at 145 pounds and Collin White at 189 pounds.
Hable was the highest-scoring Viking
at the meet. He beat Crestwood's Andrew Kennedy with a
fall at 5:18 and beat North Fayette's Travis Jensen with a
fall at 1:09, but lost to MFL's Jed Siegwarth with a fall at
1:43.
MFL/Mar-Mac won the district meet with
205 points, followed by Crestwood, New Hampton, Decorah,
Waukon and North Fayette.
Crestwood, New Hampton and Waukon will
join Decorah at Saturday's District Meet at West Delaware. |
