Boys basketball team wins on Friday, loses on Saturday
The Decorah Viking boys basketball team remains at .500 after winning a game Friday night against Oelwein, then losing Saturday against Prairie Du Chien.

The Vikings handled the Huskies 63-54 on Friday night in Oelwein.  Decorah used a strong second quarter to take a 32-21 lead at halftime and never was really threatened in the second half.  Chris Wanless and Isaiah Brown led the Vikings with 15 points each, while Drew Olinger added 12 points.

On Saturday afternoon the Vikings were tied with the Hawks ten times, including at 56-56 with just a minute left in the game.  But Prairie Du Chien took a 58-56 lead, then registered a two-point victory as time ran out.

Drew Olinger led the Vikings with 18 points, while Chris Wanless and Steve Drost each had 11 points.

Decorah is now 9-9 on the season and 4-5 in the NEIC.  It will host New Hampton on Tuesday night.
