League leading
Simpson College defeated the Luther College women's
basketball team 74-58 in Indianola Wednesday night.
The Storm shot 44 percent from the field, had 25 points off
of Luther turnovers and won the battle of the boards, 43-37.
Camille Stenhaug and Bethany Van Sloten led the Norse
offensive attack with nine points each. Sam McCamy and Sam
Jewell had eight points each.
The win dropped Luther's Iowa
Conference record to 2-9. The Norse are 7-13 overall.
They will return to action at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, when they
will host league leading Central College. The game
