| The Iowa High
School Athletic Association has released its listing of the
2010 and 2011 football districts--and Decorah will be
playing some traditional foes.
The new Class 3A District 4 includes Crestwood, Decorah,
Independence, Oelwein, Waukon and Manchester West
Delaware--six teams that were in the same district in 2008
and 2009. But the new district drops New Hampton and
Western Dubuque.
In their place the Charles City Comets
and the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks--two members of the
Northeast Iowa Conference--have been added to District #4.
In Class 2A, District #4 will include
South Winneshiek, North Fayette, Dyersville Beckman, Western
Dubuque, Jesup, MFL/Mar-Mac, Monticello and
Sumner-Fredericksburg.
In Class 1A, District #5 will include
Turkey Valley, Bellevue, Clayton Ridge, Maquoketa Valley,
Northeast, North Linn, Starmont and Wapsie Valley. |
