Decorah wrestlers finish 5th at NEIC Meet
The Decorah Viking wrestlers had their chances, but wound up finishing 5th Saturday at the Northeast Iowa Conference Wrestling Meet in Waukon.  Waverly-Shell Rock ran away with the championship, but there was a tight race for second through fifth places.

Waverly-Shell Rock finished with 270.5 points, while New Hampton was second with 172 points, Crestwood was third with 163 points, Charles City was fourth with 162 points and Decorah finished fifth with 159 points.  Waukon was far behind in sixth place with 98.5 points, while Oelwein was last with 88 points.

The Vikings had four 2nd place finishes--from Anthony Hable at 130 pounds, Gayge Samuelson at 140 pounds, Chase Christopher at 145 pounds and Tyler Rinken at 215 pounds.  Five other Viking wrestlers finished third--Zach Henning at 119 pounds, Devin Breuning at 135 pounds, Cody Sacquitne at 160 pounds, Collin White at 171 pounds and Mitch Schluter at 285 pounds.
