The Luther
College wrestling team jumped out to a 15-7 lead over Coe
college in a dual meet Saturday in Decorah, but the Kohawks
rebounded to take a 28-19 decision.
A forfeit by Coe at 125 pounds, a fall by Jason Pyle at 149
pounds and a 3-2 decision by Lance Serbousek at 157 pounds
gave Luther the lead. But the next four matches saw
Coe post a technical fall at 165 pounds, a major decision at
174 pounds and falls at 184 pounds and 197 pounds before
Luther's Allyn Plattner completed the evening with a major
decision at 285 pounds.
The loss evened Luther's Iowa Conference dual meet record at
9-7 overall and 3-3 in the Iowa Conference. The Norse
will return to action at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday for a a match at
#23-ranked Dubuque.Coe
