Luther swimmers win at Loras; at home against Grinnell
The Luther College men's and women's swimming and diving teams went 4-4 over the weekend, with both the men's and women's teams winning at Loras College in Dubuque on Friday night and at home against Grinnell College on Saturday afternoon.

The Luther men posted a 140-83 victory over Loras on Friday night, with Decorah High School graduate Taylor Nelson winning the 50 freestyle and participating in the first place 400 medley relay team and the 400 freestyle relay team.

Meanwhile, the Luther women beat Loras 156-74.  The Norse started the meet by winning the 400 medley relay and ended it by winning the 400 freestyle relay.  In between they won another seven events.

Then on Saturday, the Luther women's swimming and diving team won 12 events en route to a 162-79 victory over Grinnell College.  Rachel Bruns, Addison Choi and Stephanie Drewes led the Norse with multiple first place finishes. 

Meanwhile, the Luther men won 10 events and cruised to a 143.5 - 97.5 victory over Grinnell College.  Taylor Nelson, Michael Pettengill and Spencer Robbins posted multiple first place finishes

The Norse men and women both finished their season with dual meet records of 6-1.  They will return to action starting February 18th at the Liberal Arts Championships at Principia college near St. Louis.  The Luther men are five-time defending champions at the meet, while the Luther women are three-time defending champions.
