College women's basketball team lost to Buena Vista
University 78-70 on Saturday, despite a season-high
offensive showing by Decorah High School graduate Bethany
Van Sloten. She tallied 12 points while another DHS
graduate, Sam Jewell, had 21 points.
The Norse led 14-2 after the
first five minutes of the game and trailed just by 36-34 at
halftime. However, the Beavers led by as many as 12
points in the second half.
Luther is now 2-8 in the Iowa
Conference and 7-12 overall. They will return to
action at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in Indianola against Simpson
