High School boys swim team took first place in seven out of
11 events Tuesday night in a dual meet at Vinton-Shellsburg.
The Vikings won 59-35. The
Viking boys were led by Chandler Roberson, who finished
first in the 160 yard individual medley and in the 100 yard
butterfly; and by Jason Orvis, who finished first in the 100
yard freestyle and the 100 yard backstroke. Other
Viking first place finishers were Jamey Kuhn in the 200 yard
freestyle, Karl Larsen in the 60 yard freestyle and Erik
Orvis in the 500 yard freestyle.
Vinton-Shellsburg won the 160 yard
medley relay, the 160 yard freestyle relay and the 320 yard
freestyle relay, while Brandon Tharp won the 100 yard
breaststroke. |
