Decorah boys lose to Charles City
The Decorah High School boys basketball team put up a good fight Tuesday night against #6-ranked Charles City, but dropped a 62-53 decision to the Comets.

The Vikings gave up an early 10-1 lead, but battled back to within three points and trailed by seven points at halftime.  Charles City led by 12 points in the middle of the 4th quarter, but Decorah battled back to within five points, only the falter down the stretch.

Chris Wanless led the Vikings with 16 points, with eight other Vikings entering the scoring column.  6 foot 9 inch Nathan Buss, who will play next year at the University of Northern Iowa, led the Comets with 31 points, while Jordan VanderWerf added 18 points.

The Vikings are now 6-8 on the season and 2-5 in the Northeast Iowa Conference.  Decorah will host Turkey Valley on Thursday night.
